Coming from a family of opera musicians (Américo Rosa, orchestra conductor;
Alejandro Rosa, cello player, and Aida Rosa, pianist and orchestra conductor),
he started his musical studies at an early age, within his family circle.
Still very young, he showed unusual artistic talent and expertise as an opera
conductor. Under the patronage of the Argentine National Ministry of Justice and
Education, he conducted twelve operas and was appointed Artistic Director of the
“Gregorio de Laferrère” Theatre.
Then the “Asociación de Música de cámara y Biblioteca Esnaola” gave him an Award,
signed by Maestro Pedro Sofía, Luis Sammartino and Ferruccio Calusio,
as "Novel Orchestra Conductor", for his outstanding work as an opera conductor.
Maestro Calusio (Substituting for Maestro Arturo Toscanini) together with
Maestro Juan Emilio Martini and Princess María Pía of Borbon recommend him to
the Italian Government, who granted him a scholarship to study in Italy.
He assisted the “Guiseppe Verdi” Conservatoire in Milan, where he obtained his
degree and majors in: Piano, with Maestro Aldo Canetti; Singing (Didactic Branch),
with Maestro Tito Gobbi; Composition, with Maestro Franco Caracciolo, and
Opera Orchestra Conductor, with Maestro Antonio Votto.
(Third in the "trilogy" line, together with with Maestro Angelo Questa and
Maestro Tullio Serafin, disciples of Artuto Toscanini ).
He immediately started a successful career as an opera conductor in Europe and
South America.
At the same time, he was appointed Opera Repertoire Maestro at the Liceo Musical
“Giovambattista Viotti” in Vercelli, Italy, whose most prominent graduates are
Fiorenza Cossotto, Raina Kabaivanska, Mirella Freni, Luciano Pavarotti,
Luis Alva, Renato Bruson, Piero Capuccilli and Sumi Jo, among others.
He worked as Artistic Director of the “Anfora d’Oro” International Awards, in Imperia,
Italy.
He has been Artistic Advisor to the Teatro Argentino de La Plata, where he
created the first International Singing Contest held in Argentina.
He was the President of the First Italian International Contest for Child
musicians in the Piedmont Region.
He gave several Seminars on "Orchestra Conducting and Opera Concertazione work",
and different Courses on Opera Singing and Instrumental Performance.
He is a founding member and Artistic Director of the “Musartes” Association for
Opera and Concerts, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The Comuna of Le Roncole (Busseto, Italy), birthplace of Giuseppe Verdi, gave
him an award for his outstanding performance of Verdi’s works.
The Teatro alla Scalla of Milano (Italy) appointed him as Opera Repertoire and
Style Maestro.
Since then, he has been a member of many juries in singing contests at Teatro
alla Scala and many others in Italy and other European countries.
He received the “Spiga d’Argento” award from the prestigious singer
Mrs Giulietta Simionato, for his significant work as an opera conductor.
Mrs. Simionato would became later his artistic sponsor.
He received the International Award of the “Min-On” Association of Japan, for
his outstanding musical work and his cultural contribution to world peace.
